Congresswoman Renee Ellmers voted in favor of H. Res. 72, which passed the House today by a bipartisan vote of 391-28.   This House Resolution will direct committees to inventory and review existing, pending, and proposed regulations and orders from agencies of the Federal Government, particularly with respect to their effect on jobs and economic growth.  This week Ellmers  took to the House floor to discuss the burden regulations have on business.

Congresswoman Ellmers said: "In all of my years in business I can honestly say that I have never seen an Administration so prepared to regulate nearly every ailment, either real or perceived."

"My message today is simple - we must remove burdensome regulations so that businesses can grow and entrepreneurs can start new businesses to get people back to work," Ellmers concluded.
