Greenhouse Diagnostic Clinic March 1

The Foothills Greenhouse Diagnostic Clinic is designed to provide greenhouse growers hands-on training and assistance with solving production issues, as well as pest identification and control measures. Information provided will also be beneficial to landscapers who install or maintain greenhouse crops in the landscape.

North Carolina State University Specialists will be present to conduct this training and clinic.

Participants are encouraged to bring problem greenhouse plant samples for diagnosis.  
Please plan to bring along healthy plant samples for comparison.

Registration includes snack and handouts.

Commercial Pesticide Recertification Credit (L, N, O, D, X) - Up to 3 hours is available for those attending the clinic.

12:30 - 1:00 p.m. - Registration

1:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Clinic

•    Learn how to identify and control insects, mites and plant diseases in
the greenhouse.

•    Learn how to diagnosis and correct plant nutritional problems.

•    Learn how to prepare and ship plant problem samples to the NC State
Plant and Disease Clinic.

•    Learn about chemical rotation to avoid pest resistance.

•    Bring your own questions and learn from the Greenhouse Specialists and
other growers.

•    Bring your problem plant samples and learn.

Registration Deadline - February 28, 2011   Each Person - $15.00

Late Registration (after February 28, 2011)  Each Person - $20.00
