The N.C. Crawfish Growers Association will hold its annual meeting Wednesday, March 9, at the Beaufort County Cooperative Extension Center, 155-A Airport Road, Washington.
The meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All crawfish producers in the state are invited to attend and learn about the latest in crawfish production practices.
Agenda items will include a report on last year’s crawfish promotional boils and plans for upcoming boils. There will be updates on effects of cold weather on crawfish production, the white spot virus affecting crawfish in Louisiana, crawfish burrow ecology and when to stop harvesting crawfish. Members also will elect new officers.
There is no fee for the meeting, but registration is required by March 4.
