March 24th, 2011 @ 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Newland, NC

This workshop will address the "how" to make marketing work. An issue many producers face is finding money to make marketing material and how to make that an effective part of your business. This meeting is designed to increase your awareness of programs that are free, of little cost, or even help you pay for developing and utilizing marketing materials. The guest speakers include farmers whom utilize different marketing tools and target different consumers, and a representative of the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Program (A.S.A.P.). This workshop will feature guest speakers to address the how's and why's of marketing tools, the effect of these tools on sales, and where to get assistance for developing and paying for these marketing materials. Our mission is to help local farms thrive, link farmers to markets and supporters, and build healthy communities through connections to local food." ASAP offers many services to the farming community, educational classes, grants, and the printing of over 90,000 Local Food Guides that promote local producers. To learn more about making the most of your marketing budget, I recommend that you attend this meeting.
