Learn how to minimize fresh produce risks on your farm. N.C. MarketReady Fresh Produce Safety training will teach you Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and what it takes to become GAPs certified. In Tier 1, you will be introduced to: • Fresh Produce Safety Basics • GAPs Field Practices • Packing Facility Sanitation (Good Handling Practices) • Health and Hygiene • Water Quality • Animals, Animal Byproducts, Biosolids, and Site Selection This fresh produce safety curriculum was developed by North Carolina Cooperative Extension for North Carolina produce growers.
