Workers born in the United States have now joined the foreign-born in seeing the first job growth since the recession began, reports the Pew Hispanic Center. Native-born workers saw jobs grow by 685,000 in the fourth quarter of 2010. Foreign born workers added 657,000 positions, the third quarter in a row they have gained jobs. (Note: Pew does not distinguish between workers born outside this county who are here legally and those who are not. It also does not specify the kinds of jobs they have.) With the job growth, unemployment for U.S.-born workers fell from 9.5% to 9.%. The jobless rate for immigrant workers edged down from 10.1% to 9.o%. Click here for More.
