LUMBERTON — A seminar titled GAP Training for Tier 1 that focuses on food safety in the field will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 26 at the O.P. Owens Agriculture Center.

LUMBERTON — Members of the Lumberton FFA recently participated in the annual Winter Literacy and Barbeque Festival at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

LUMBERTON — A free Global Positioning Systems workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday in the Workforce Development Center’s BB&T Conference room at Robeson Community College.

LUMBERTON — David Bass represented the Lumberton FFA recently at the State Tractor Driving competition in Raleigh.

LUMBERTON — The Robeson County extension is collecting information and photos for a book to show the past dairy industry in the area.

LUMBERTON — The North Carolina A&T Cooperative Extension Program will hold a tour of two small farms to celebrate Small Farms Week on March 24.

LUMBERTON — Hospitality training will be held at the Cooperative Extension Center on N.C. 72 West on April 11 and April 14.
