RE: JOB POSTING – One (1) Full Time Agri-Business Development Director

Performs complex administrative and supervisory work in the management of the day to day activities and operations of the organization, including program implementation and policy adherence. Researches and formulates long-range plans; builds partnerships, relationships and consensus to strengthen the organization. Represents the organization in the community and to various legislative bodies at the local, state and federal levels as the agri-business economic development representative for Henderson County. Exercises full supervision of agri-business staff. Work is performed under general supervision exercising wide latitude, judgment and discretion. Reports to the Henderson County Agri-Business Development Board of Directors.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, public administration, economic development, business administration, or related field, and considerable experience working with state, regional and local officials; considerable experience in agriculture, agri-business and economical development in progressively responsible positions including supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Possession of or ability to readily obtain an appropriate valid North Carolina driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Must have proof of reliable personal transportation. Pre-employment drug test required of finalist applicants.
