JOB: Seeking Foundation Executive Director

The North Carolina Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation, inc. located in Raleigh is seeking an experienced, well qualified executive director to manage foundation business, including the direction and coordination of fundraising, writing and managing grants, and implementing projects and supervising office operations.  The Foundation is a small non-profit organization with a mission to promote the wise use of land, water and related resources by building capacity in conservation districts, educating citizens and improving the natural environment.  

The executive director is responsible to the Foundation Board of Directors and must exercise individual initiative in implementing projects, seeking funding opportunities and managing programs.  The position normally consists of a 40 hour work week although some nights and weekends may be required.  Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications: a bachelor’s degree, relationship building, fundraising, grant writing and office management skills are required.  Experience with foundation and conservation activities preferred. 

Salary and benefits: $60,000 salary depending on experience with vacation and sick leave.  No healthcare provided.
