In an effort to convene global food and health organizations, government agencies and academic institutions, six partner organizations have formed the International Center of Excellence in Food Risk Communication.

A collaborative initiative created to help ensure more holistic decision-making about food risks at all levels in the supply chain, the organization consists of representatives from Food Standards Australia New Zealand, Health Canada, International Food Information Council Foundation, Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, National Center for Food Protection and Defense and USDA.

The Center’s Web site www.foodriskcommunications.org provides resources to help government officials, health professionals, academicians, food producers and the public share research and data about food safety.

Working with its partners, the International Food Information Council (IFIC) Foundation is the primary facilitator of the center.
