Agritourism Networking Association plans workshops in Durham and western N.C.

The Agritourism Networking Association will host four workshops between April and June that focus on how to start or continue a successful agritourism operation. The workshops are designed for agritourism entrepreneurs and those who may be interested in starting an agritourism business.


Following are dates and locations for the workshops:
• April 14  Vineyards at Southpoint in Durham. Registration deadline is April 11.
• May 5 WoodMill Winery in Vale. Register by April 28.
• May 19 Coston Farm in Hendersonville. Register by May 12.
• June 2 Shadow Springs Vineyard in Hamptonville. Register by May 26.


Workshops start at 3 p.m. and cost $25, which includes materials, tours and dinner.
The workshops will focus on topics such as marketing through social media, hospitality tips to bring in and keep customers, estate planning and insurance needs, and working with elected officials. Participants will also have an opportunity to network and share ideas with other agribusiness owners.
