Rep. Ellmers to hold first subcommittee hearing April 7

On Thursday, April 7th at 10:00am, Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC-2), Chair of the Small Business Subcommittee on Healthcare and Technology, will hold a hearing entitled “Creating Jobs Through the Small Business Innovation Act of 2011.”

The hearing will focus on the reauthorization of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, and provide an opportunity to examine yet to be introduced legislation reauthorizing the SBIR and STTR programs.

Testimony will be heard from Dr. Albert Link, University of North Carolina at Greensboro; Glenn Norem, Executive Chairman of Totus Lighting Solutions, Inc.; and Dr. Terry Brewer, President of Brewer Science, Inc.

The hearing will take place in Room 2360 of the Rayburn House Office Building and will be livestreamed online HERE. (Local media covering the hearing can view at the livestream link at 10 a.m. tomorrow and may request a link to YouTube video of the hearing afterward.)
