State Farmers Market to host Spring Herb Days April 8-10

Visitors will be able to indulge their senses during the annual Spring Herb Days at the State Farmers Market in Raleigh. Fresh and dried herbs will be available for purchase, along with a variety of herbal products including crafts, jams and jellies, body lotions and plants. In addition, specialists will be on hand to offer free advice about growing and using herbs.


Friday and Saturday, April 8 - 9; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, April 10; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A variety of seasonal produce is now available, including greens, sweet potatoes and greenhouse tomatoes. In addition, visitors can find an array of shrubs, trees and vegetable plants in the Farmers Building; shop for meats, cheeses and unique N.C. products at the Market Shoppes; purchase home and garden accessories at Market Imports and eat at the State Farmers Market Restaurant or N.C. Seafood Restaurant.

Spring Herb Days is one of several special events held throughout the year at the State Farmers Market. Upcoming events include Strawberry Day, Crawfish Day and Blueberry Day.
