Update: N.C. money would help Oregon Inlet dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said today that N.C. Gov. Beverly Perdue's proposal to use state money to dredge the Oregon Inlet wouldn't make it deep enough to allow commercial fishermen to use, but it would allow the lucrative recreational and charter boat industry to use it through the end of the summer tourist season.
