Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R- NC2) released the following statement following the passage of H.R. 1217 today in the House of Representatives.  This legislation repeals the slush fund created under ObamaCare that allowed the Secretary of Health and Human Services to spend $17 billion dollars without Congressional oversight.

"Today's vote is a win for taxpayers who are tired of government bureaucrats who think they can spend our money better than American families. By eliminating this government slush fund, Republicans have dismantled another piece of ObamaCare -- saving taxpayers billions of dollars and holding Washington politicians accountable for their failed policies."
