The Nash County Board of Commissioners sought opinions from a panel of state environmental and economic officials Tuesday to counter claims made by critics that a Sanderson Farms poultry processing plant could pose environmental threats.

Nash County officials explored aspects surrounding the proposed 180,000-square-foot plant during the special five-hour public information session.
