Judge: House of Raeford's double jeopardy claim must be resolved

A federal judge has put on hold a criminal trial against the House of Raeford on allegations of illegal discharges until an issue of double jeopardy is resolved. The poultry plant, which has a processing plant in Raeford, contends that it shouldn't face criminal charges because it already has paid nearly $1 million in civil fines and penalties.
