Bickering unabated as budget vote nears

The state House will vote on a $19.3 billion budget next week that Republicans said "right-sizes" state government but that Democrats criticized for cuts to education, health and court services.

In a run-up to the vote, a House committee held a marathon session Wednesday to consider dozens of changes.
