Nash County officials have decided to postpone a draft environmental impact statement that’s geared to secure federal grants for infrastructure improvements at a proposed Sanderson Farms poultry processing plant site.

A decision was made Monday to remove the county’s draft environmental impact statement from the N.C. Department of Administration’s State Environmental Review Clearinghouse.
