N.C. jobless rate holds steady

The state's jobless rate held steady at 9.7 percent in April for the second straight month.
The N.C. Employment Security Commission, in a report issued today (.pdf), said the state gained 2,900 nonfarm jobs. That's the fourth straight month of job growth.
