Gov. Perdue appoints Rozier as District Court Judge for Wake County

Gov. Bev Perdue today appointed the Honorable Vince Rozier to the Wake County District Court bench.  Rozier will fill the vacancy created by the appointment of Judge Craig Croom to a Special Superior Court judgeship.

“I am pleased to reappoint Judge Rozier back to the District Court bench,” Perdue said.   “He has earned the respect of his colleagues and will immediately be able to serve the citizens of Wake County.”

Currently, Rozier serves as the Ombudsman to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.  He served for over four years on the District Court in Wake County, where he presided over cases in Family, Child Support, Criminal and Juvenile Courts.  Prior to that Rozier served as an assistant District Attorney in Wake County. As an Assistant District Attorney, he served as a member of the Wake County Juvenile Treatment Court Team, prosecuted non-drug felonies, drug cases, and handled misdemeanor appeals. He is active in the community, serving on several non-profit boards in Wake County.

Rozier is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
