Sen. Hagan, export-import bank chairman to host exporter forum today for NC small businesses

U.S. Senator Kay R. Hagan (NC) and Fred P. Hochberg, Chairman and President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, TODAY will host an Exporter Forum at Siemens Energy, Inc. Hagan serves on the Senate Banking and Small Business committees and is working in the Senate to help North Carolina businesses create jobs and grow. This event will include industry, academic and government experts who will give North Carolina businesses the inside knowledge they need to sell their products and services overseas. Officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Small Business Administration and U.S. Department of Commerce, including Assistant Secretary Suresh Kumar, will participate. The event will end with one-on-one sessions for North Carolina small businesses with Export-Import bank experts. Mayor Anthony Foxx will also attend the event.

WHEN: 8:30 AM – NOON. Hagan will speak at 9 AM; Hagan will host a press avail at 10 AM; Press are invited to join Hagan and Hochberg on a tour of Siemens Energy at 10:15 AM.
