Pilgrim’s Pride Corp. today announced that Fabio Sandri has moved into the position of chief financial officer of the Greeley, Colo.-based poultry processor.

Sandri, 39, previously served as CFO of Estacio Participacoes, the largest post-secondary educational Institution in Brazil, and succeeds Gary D. Tucker, 62, who retired from Pilgrim’s Pride after eight years with the company. Sandri has also held posts as CFO at Imbra S.A., a Brazilian provider of dental services, and Braksem S.A., where he was strategic director and corporate controller between 2005 and 2008.

He’s expected to relocate to Colorado from Brazil later this year, the company announced.
