U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre, and members of the Blue Dog Coalition, have once again urged consideration of the AMERICA Works Act, legislation included in the bipartisan "Make it in America" agenda.

Congressman McIntyre stated, “As we seek every way possible to create jobs, it is important to match employers with qualified workers who have in-demand skills.  By having this system in place, we can help those who are specifically trained and ready to work.  Let’s pass this bill and get folks working! ”

Specifically the AMERICA Works Act would better equip skilled workers to successfully connect with the employers who need them by linking up worker skills with job opportunities by creating a national registry of skill credentials and re-direct existing worker training resources to prioritize programs that lead to the credentials listed on the registry.
