USDA updates U.S. corn crop condition

USDA reported that 70 percent of the U.S. corn crop was in good or excellent condition in the week ended June 19, compared to 69 percent the previous week and 75 percent a year ago at this time.


In its weekly Crop Progress report, USDA rated 7 percent of the corn crop in poor or very poor condition, compared to 6 percent the previous week and 7 percent at this time last year.


Soybeans
USDA rated 68 percent of the U.S. soybean crop in good or excellent condition, compared to 67 percent the previous week and 69 percent at this time last year.


Six percent of the U.S. soybean crop was rated poor or very poor, compared to 5 percent the previous week and 8 percent at this time last year.
