Medicago USA Inc. has received $5.6 million in funding from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for a flu vaccine plant it is building in Research Triangle Park.

This is the third milestone payment that Medicago has received for the 90,000-square-foot facility, the U.S. subsidiary of the Quebec City-based biotechnology company said in a written statement Tuesday.
