FEMA extends disaster aid deadline

Victims of the April 16 tornadoes that ripped through North Carolina have more time to apply for federal disaster aid.

FEMA officials said Tuesday they have extended the deadline to July 5, after concluding that some victims are still assessing damage. The deadline had been set to expire June 20.
