The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association is seeking applications for the 2012 Clean Water Awards, which recognize outstanding water treatment plant performance in the industry.The deadline for submitting applications is Nov. 15.

The award has two categories, one for full treatment facilities and one for pretreatment facilities. Any USPOULTRY member can submit one nominee in each category. Previous winners cannot be re-nominated for five years.

An evaluation committee will review the applications and choose two semi-finalist facilities in each category. The panel will then visit those facilities to select the winners. The committee consists of university personnel, industry engineers and managers, and state regulators.

USPOULTRY will announce the winners at the 2012 Environmental Management Seminar.
