Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council to hold meeting July 21 in Raleigh

WHO/WHAT: The N.C. Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council will hold its quarterly meeting, which is open to the public.

WHEN: Thursday, July 21, 1 to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Martin Building, inside Gate 9, State Fairgrounds, 1025 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh

The main agenda item will be a discussion of the N.C. Egg Law, which governs the grading, labeling and sanitation of eggs sold in the state. Speakers will include an egg producer and representatives of the state Food and Drug Protection Division and N.C. Egg Association.


Other agenda items include a presentation by Tom Wall, associate director of the N.C. Rural Center, about the N.C. Capital Access Program, and updates from council subcommittees.
