One of the top cogs in the U.S. Department of Agriculture met with Virginia business leaders on July 11 to investigate ways federal, state and local officials can work together to improve economic conditions.

Agriculture Deputy Secretary Kathleen Merrigan held the meeting in Richmond, one in a series being held across the country this summer with senior administration officials on behalf of the White House Business Council and the White House Rural Council.
