The conservative group Americans for Limited Government is heaping praise on Rep. Mike McIntyre for being one of just five House Democrats who voted for a GOP-backed plan to cut the federal deficit. The “Cut, Cap, and Balance Act,” which stands zero chance of passing the Senate, was derided by Democrats for provisions they say would require massive cuts to social programs such as Medicare and Social Security.
