The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced July 12 that the Virginia is among 19 states and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico that will capture 25 marketing grants from the Department, designed around the idea of expanding economic opportunities through marketing improvements.

The state will receive $75,150 in government funds through the grant, a part of $1.3 million in federal funds, crafted as matching-funds grants to various states and Puerto Rico.
