Parents tell of petting zoo outbreak of E. coli

Parents who took their children into the Crossroads Farm Petting Zoo at the 2004 N.C. State Fair realized that their little ones might be nipped or even knocked down by the dozens of baby goats and sheep in the exhibit. But they didn't know they were exposing their children to a potentially lethal disease, they testified Wednesday.
