Rep. Brad Miller hosts federal grants workshop

U.S. Representative Brad Miller will host a Federal Grants Workshop to introduce participants to the federal grants process. Following the opening session, representatives from eight federal agencies will be on hand to explain grant opportunities and highlight the application process. In FY2011, federal agencies awarded more than 2,500 grants to non-profits, small business and local governments in the 13th District.

WHEN:          Wednesday, August 10th, Workshop opens at 8:30 A.M.
                       (Congressman will speak at 9am)

WHAT:          Prospect Hill Community Health Center Visit

WHO:             Rep. Brad Miller and Senator Kay Hagan will attend the ribbon cutting for an expansion       provided, in part, by federal funding.
                       Both will be honored for their support of the project.

WHEN:          Wednesday, August 10th, 11 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

WHAT:          Alamance Community College Program Tour – Rep. Miller will tour the Agricultural Technology program to learn about the use of solar power and hydroponic growing initiatives.
