Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy has been awarded a $2,500 grant by Community Foundation of Henderson County for a new sign to educate the public about native river cane along the Cane Creek greenway and its cultural significance to the Cherokee people. The sign is a part of a larger restoration project in progress along the greenway.
