If apples are, well, the apple of your eye, then this is your week at area farmers tailgate markets. Early apple varieties, like Honeycrisp and Gala, have recently begun arriving. At Asheville City Market last weekend, Hickory Nut Gap Farm, McConnell Farms and Creasman Farms all had some for sale.
