No animal sales at Henderson County flea markets

Shoppers at Henderson County flea markets won’t be able to buy a puppy or kitten along with secondhand tools or shotguns. The Henderson County Board of Commissioners decided this week not to allow sales of animals at flea markets in Henderson County, an idea proponents said was a matter of free enterprise but animal advocates viewed as a sure path to increased euthanasia rates and animal mistreatment.
