Hurricane Irene could hit Cape Fear region this weekend

Hurricane Irene could mean trouble for the Carolinas this weekend. Churning more than 1,000 miles away from the coast on Monday, Irene's projected path showed a possible direct hit Saturday, which would make it the strongest hurricane to hit the Cape Fear region since Hugo in 1989.
