USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service has published questions and answers on its website about the Bonus Purchase Program for chicken.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced two weeks ago USDA’s intention to purchase up to $40 million of chicken products for federal food nutrition assistance programs, including food banks. 

The questions and answers are aimed at poultry processors interested in participating in the program.
