There's little doubt that a leaner Hanesbrands Inc. is a stronger, more stable competitor since its spin-off from Sara Lee Corp. on Sept. 6, 2006. The company posted profit of $211.3 million in fiscal year 2010, compared with $126 million in fiscal year 2007 — its first full year of independence.
