In August, North Carolina added 12,559 voters to it rolls, an acceleration of more than 1,500 voters over last month, with solid increases in 85 counties. Democrats picked up 1,582 voters, Republicans gained 2,994 and Unaffiliateds grew by 7,759. Wake County saw the biggest gain adding 2,149 voters.
