Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to visit Wilkes County on Saturday in celebration of local apples. The 34th annual Brushy Mountain Apple Festival will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in downtown North Wilkesboro. It is sponsored by the Brushy Mountain Ruritan Club.
