Congresswoman Renee Ellmers released the following statement from her office in Washington this afternoon:

"Today marks the 888th day since the United States Senate passed a budget. This is shocking and unacceptable and shows why Americans are fed up with Washington. As my freshmen colleagues noted this morning, this is not how you run a business or a household…and certainly not a country. We have passed twelve pro-growth, pro-jobs bills in the House since January and none of them have been able to get even a vote due to Senator Reid's roadblock. The American people deserve a government that does its job, just as we have been doing since day one in the House of Representatives."

This afternoon, Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-NC-2) joined House GOP Freshmen for a press conference marking the 888th day since the Senate passed a budget. The event also highlighted the jobs bills (now standing at 12 since January) that were passed in the House and are currently awaiting action in the Senate.
