AG Cooper recounts air pollution fight for Asheville lawyer group

A lawsuit against the Tennessee Valley Authority paid off for North Carolina despite its failure in court, N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper said Wednesday. The utility agreed in April to a landmark settlement that sharply cuts coal-fired power plant emissions drifting into the North Carolina mountains, Cooper told a group of more than 100 Buncombe County lawyers Wednesday.
