Soils of North Carolina are very diverse from mountains to coast. A new Soils of North Carolina poster, providing information on North Carolina soils, the importance of soil and depicts 16 different soil series across North Carolina’s physiographic regions, is available online at http://soilscience.info/soilsofnc.

The poster was developed through a partnership with the NC Cooperative Extension, NC State University, A&T University, North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the USDA Natural Resource Conservation service.  Printed copies can be request through your local USDA NRCS Field Office or downloaded from the Web at http://soilscience.info/soilsofnc.
