Congressman Watt announces a training workshop for small businesses

Congressman Mel Watt (12th District of North Carolina) announces a training workshop for small businesses on how to do business with the federal government on Monday, October 24, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Johnson C. Smith University, Biddle Auditorium.  


Congressman Watt said, “Recognizing that small businesses face unique challenges in securing contracts with the federal government, this interactive workshop will feature presentations by representatives from various federal agencies providing information about what programs are available, how to access capital and where to find assistance and guidance on doing business with the federal government.”  Entities that are scheduled to participate in the workshop include the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), U.S. Department of the Treasury, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, NC Procurement Technical Assistance Center, SCORE and local community banks.
