The brother of state Rep. Marvin Lucas was killed Monday morning as he attempted to cross N.C. 87 on a tractor, authorities said.
Robert Cecil Lucas, 78, of 3301 Red Fox Road in the Deerfield subdivision, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 10:15 accident, said Spring Lake Police Chief Troy McDuffie.
