USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced it will hold a public meeting and has extended the comment period for the agency’s implementation plans and methods for controlling non-O157 Shiga toxin-producing E. coli in raw, intact and non-intact beef products and product components.
A public teleconference will be held on Dec. 1 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST. Pre-registration is required. Comments will now be accepted until Dec. 21, 2011.
