North Carolina State University has received a $20,126  student recruiting grant from the USPOULTRY Foundation, the organization said in a news release.

The grant was one of several student recruiting grants totaling more than $180,000 awarded to universities with poultry science departments or poultry programs. The Tucker, Ga.-based foundation provides annual recruiting funds to colleges and universities to attract students to their poultry programs.

“The USPOULTRY Foundation’s support is vital to the NC State Poultry Science Department recruiting efforts.  Their commitment to assisting us in identifying the next generation of leadership for the poultry industry is another example of the vision they possess.  We are grateful for all that they do,” said Dr. Sam Pardue, head of the Poultry Science Department at North Carolina State University.
