U.S. Rep. Howard Coble (R-NC) is resting comfortably on Wednesday at George Washington University Hospital his office announced this morning. Doctors at the Washington, D.C., hospital told Congressman Coble today that they have ruled out pneumonia or any other concern other than an upper respiratory illness. They also reconfirmed that the respiratory problem depleted his sodium levels.

The physicians at George Washington University Hospital told the 80-year-old representative that if he continues to improve his sodium levels that he could leave the hospital as soon as this Friday.
